The 777-200 have Sky Cruisers in F. EK does not plan to upgrade them to Suites in F but for J you have to ask some one else. For 300 & 300ER -> Suites will replace Skycruisers on the one's that do not have the same already pre installed so perhaps the same goes for J as well. Safe Flying EGT |
All 777-300 (but not necessarily 777-300ER) are upgraded to flat beds in J.

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/emira...-emirates.html Emirates777 is our resident guru on all things equipment related... |
lie flat or flatbed
Following eightblacks helpful message I have a further question
I was referring to flat bed (180 degree full flat such as we have on BA SAA longhaul QR etc) product on flights 5 hours plus that make it nice to have some sleep time FLAT (not angled, lie flat etc, and forget ""deeply reclining""!!) My one experience on the EK 380 BKK DXB I spent much of my time in the lovely onboard lounge but the seat I tested DID appear to be flatbed? So ... Are all J class seat in Emirates lie flat? OR Am i correct in assuming per the website that the intention is to move to flatbed (as I define it), as in the A380, on all 777ER/LR? |
Ohh and I forgot to mention, flatbed also means no hole in theseat area matching the small of my back when fully reclined such as exists now on the EK ultra long haul product but CERTAINLY NOT (I checked carefully) on the A380 product (all refs to J) where the seat is flat and fully integrated and nice enough for even a demanding overflying chap like me rest content :-)

You are correct. The 180-degree FLAT experience is on the A380. The J seats which you see in the photos in the FAQ3 section are typical of the J-class product onboard the 777's. And yes, they have a "slight" incline. I hardly notice it now and can sleep like a baby. The trick is to use 2 of the thin mattress pads and drink heavily before sleeping! |

To the second, no, they won't install flat beds on the 777 fleet. One indicator is that new deliveries have the existing lie flat product, and if they wanted to do this, they would have already started doing so. Moreover, Emirates is notorious for inconsistency in hard product, and they know that. Trying to change the product on a fleet that is well over 80 aircraft is a very challenging, if not expensive, task. As the A380 is deployed on many of the ULH routes, these will see flat beds anyway. I think the next new J product will be on the A350s. |

I think you found the answer to your first question already, which is no, only on the 380.
