Don't get fooled by the name, you will not be able to sleep at all on these things. Thank god they will phase out the planes that still have those, but only until 2015.

Has nothing to do with an up-to-date Business Class. Do not book any flights with Emirates that offers these seats! - You will be totally frustrated, even if you don't have to pay for the flight yourself!

I slept just fine on the Sleeperettes.

OK, it's now a bit dated, but it's much more than 'improved Economy Class'.

Cheers,
Rick

A6-EML Refurbished, re-configured and re-enters service

A6-EML Refurbished, re-configured and re-enters service

After just over 6 weeks in the hangar, A6-EML a B777-200ER has been refurbished, re-configured and re-entered service yesterday, 14 April operating EK085/086 DXB-ZRH-DXB.

This aircraft has been re-configured from 2-class to 3-class and now sports SkyCruiser seats in F, lie-flat seats in J and new Weber seats in Y.

Note, the IFE on this aircraft remains ICE not ICE digital widescreen.

One additional sub-fleet type has been eliminated and as a result of this the 3-class B777-200ER sub-fleet increased to 6 aircraft.

Fleet info post now incorporates this update.

A6-EBI Refurbished and re-enters service

A6-EBI Refurbished and re-enters service

After around 6 weeks in the hangar, A6-EBI a B777-300ER has been refurbished and re-entered service today, 18 April operating EK047/048 DXB-FRA-DXB.

The aircraft now sports Suites in F, lie-flat seats in J and new Weber seats in Y. Note, the IFE on this aircraft remains ICE not ICE digital widescreen.

This is the 2nd of the 10 B77W sub-fleet that have SkyCruisers in F, deep reclining in J and old economy seats in Y. Although the configuration and layout is similar to the other Suites equipped 3-class B77Ws this sub-fleet of 10 aircraft were in the first wave of B77W deliveries hence do not have over-head crew rest areas installed. As a result these aircraft will not be dispatched alongside those aircraft.

Fleet info post now incorporates this update.

Interesting to note they refurbished 200ERs, in view of their age. Also interesting to note that it has been fitted with the skycruiser F seat, not suites. Are they brand new seats, or were taken from 777Ws when they get refitted with suites?

EK has just leased one of its own 777-200ERs for a 6 year fixed term, so these aircraft are going to be around for a while longer.

I’m a little bit confused.
I’m booked on EK-132 ( DME-DXB) on 25 May.
According to the Emirates website those planes have sleeperette seats in Business.
If I remember correctly those are the old style improved economy style crappy seats without any space for sleeping.
But if I do the seat selection on the website it show the layout of the new style business class layout with one small and one big business class section.
Can somebody inform which type of business class seats are used for the Moscow – Dubai route.

Emirates777 - You may want to update the date at the top of the listing in your fleet info post.

Question guys, on the first page Emirates777 posts specific aircraft codes for expertflyer, e.g. 77H that goes in detail etc but on expertflyer I can only see the usual 773 or 77W ...

Can anyone shed some light on this?

In expertflyer, just click on the seat map for the flight, u ll see the specific aircraft code. Pretty accurate, even with last minute equipment changes.

Ah great, wondering why they cannot display it on the regular results but one has to go to the flight map.

ExpertFlyer 77K Aircraft

Dear Emirates 777,

Do you know how the 77K fits into your very informative aircraft listing? For example, tomorrow's EK924 CAI - DXB is a two class 777-300ER and ExpertFlyer lists it as a 73K in the seat map. I don't see that as one of the designations you list, so was just curious if you had any info for us?

Thanks
