Rant : DXB T3 is an absolute zoo!!

Just did an EK SIN-DXB-SIN flight. Arrived on 26 November (Friday) to be met by the longest immigration lines i've ever ever ever seen in my life. Got in at about 1pm, and the line was stretching all the way beyond the lifts and the escalators. You can barely see the end of the line...

When i flew back yesterday morning, was in the airport at abt 5.30am for my 7.45am flight, and once again, the baggage drop (at zone A) snaked all around near to the entrance.

Thankfully (and very surprisingly) emmigration and security check was not painful at all, but (for a DXB first-timer) the 'concourse' was an absolute zoo. You barely have any space to walk at all, much less find a seat.

Bad, bad, bad airport......

Does anyone know if T1 is the same? Otherwise i might never fly EK into DXB again...

This time of year is really bad. The only saving grace is lounge access while departing and fast track while arriving.

I got in on the 1pm flight two weeks ago, and immigration wasn't too bad.

I think the problem is just the sheer volume of passengers, Dubai is a hub and EK tries to bring all their flights from west in at about the same time then have all the departing fight east 2-3 hours later and vis-versa therefore you get peeks not forgetting that nest week is Xmas so it will be busy.

I see they are building another terminal which should be ready in a few years.

Not to mention a new airport.
