business upgrade using miles

Hi,

I want to upgrade to business using my miles. There's no upgrade available for my flight at the moment. I know something will come up closer to the flight.

I use expert flyer and I know we can create a seat alert on expertflyer but is it possible create an alert for upgrade?

Thanks....

Yes it should work if you create an alert for 'D' class.

thanks for your reply....

When I go on "Award & Upgrade Availability Search and search" for my flight date I get the following message "No availability can be found for the date and class(es) specified." (oddly it doesn't even show any flights on the day).

If it says "No availability can be found for the date and class(es) specified" then how do i create the award alert?

cheers....

Can you do it from the normal flight availability tool? Instead of one of the classes shown there, enter D.

Depends on loads really. My flight to DXB next week is overbooked in F/J and wide open in Y! Though 5 days ago the agent I spoke to said Y was pretty full and I could forget about getting a seat in the fare bucket I'm booked in. EK's inventory management truly baffles me.
