EK -- Booking classes in Y,C and F

Hi Folks,

Am sure this in there somewhere in this forum, but didnt find it with the search I gave...:(

Wanted to know the booking classes in Y,C and F..

I am aware of some, but not all..

I guess -- Y,E,R,W,M,B,U,K,H,Q,L,T,V,X are the booking classes in Economy with Y being the highest booking class?

J,C,I,O -- Means J is the highest in Business ??

P,A -- Means A and P are the First class booking classes ??

Are there any other booking classes apart from the above for revenue tickets ??

Cheers
Abhi

F is only offered on flights without Suites. P is offered on flights with Suites. And they both have A.

There's also the reward booking classes, which are N for Economy and D for Business (not sure about F)

N is Economy Saver reward and W for Economy Flex. X is Economy reward when using partner airline miles.

D is Business Saver (or Upgrade) and C for Business Flex.

Z is First Saver (or Upgrade) and A for First Flex.

I'm looking at my EK e-ticket right now. All the aircrafts operating my flights have suites. However, in my e-ticket, I don't see my actual booking class anywhere. Each segment simply has the "FIRST" notation.

Look at the long alpha-numeric under Fare Calculations and the class is hidden in there. It should start with letters showing route including transit points followed by numbers indicating price. The first letter after the price should be the booking class. This is repeated further along for the return journey. Multi stops etc can get a bit complicated.

Is that reflected in your ticket?

Let me read you the "Fare Calculations" section of my e-ticket:

CMB EK X/DXB EK SEL1305.13ARTLK4 EK X/DXB EK CMB130 5.13ARTLK4 NUC2610.26END ROE113.643

Technically, it should be "A", right? However, EK's reservations agents keep saying that such code actually falls under "F." I'm confused because I thought that flights with the suites are booked as either "P" or "A."

Looks like a reward ticket?

Why do you say that? Reward would be Z.

This is "A". I think what they mean by falls under F is that it's First Class, but it's basically the A bucket.

I checked my e-ticket online in EK site and it only writes economy and no clear booking class whereas I have also received the e-ticket from my corp agent and there the class is clearly mentioned as M for ongoing and U for return..Surprising, since for other airlines, these booking classes and fare buckets are clearly shown before ticket issue itself..

In my ticket, we cannot determine the fare classes from this alpha numeric, maybe because there are two booking classes involved..

I dont think so since mine is a revenue ticket and for me too, it doesnt show the booking class as stated above..

Yes, it's a paid first class ticket. Thanks for clarifying.
