Ek ticket pricing - confusing ..
Hi Folks,
Was looking for t ticket in Y and am confused as to what I see in the Ek website.. On the return leg, the flight from DEL - DXB shows only Y class full fare ticket which significantly increases the price of the return trip ..So this means that Y is mostly sold on that particular flight I guess.. BUT , when I try to originate a new trip on the same day on the same flt on the same sector, I see the return ticket priced at a much lower class including the DEL-DXB leg !!!! This confuses me since this means seats at lower class is available but am unable to buy this if its a return leg and not ongoing leg ?? I am EK gold and should I get waitlist on that flight ?? What would you advise since guaranteed seat allocation only works if the whole flight is completely sold out but as seats in business is available, this is not possible.. Abhi |
Ah, this has something to do with them not offering economy fares originating in India with validity over 3 months. I tried this about 8 months ago, DEL-DXB-DEL, and the best advice they could give me was to book J as there were no discount Y fares offered. It isn't a case of the flight being full, just EK trying to stop smart people like me booking tickets ex-India.
Though by the sound of your post, you're booking DXB-DEL-DXB, in which case this shouldn't be such a problem. |
