Help in getting a seat on DXB-SFO

Hi,

I flew Emirates earlier this month and had to change the dates of my return flight on DEL-DXB-SFO. Now I am told that there are no available seats in economy until early August but I need to travel next week. I am not sure whether any seat would become available as they won't even waitlist.

Any tips on how can I get a seat on a flight next week? Otherwise, I will have to buy a new ticket in the market for over $1200

Thanks in advance.

There are seats available tomorrow, so keep looking out because there will be no shows and changes and things should open up. EK usually fills up till every last seat is gone and then some more.

I'd recommend an expertflyer trial and set up an alert for the flights you want. Keep checking with them as often as possible, or look at seatcounter which will give you an idea.

I don't know if EK would be willing to fly you to LAX instead and then you can buy a LAX - SFO, still cheaper than $1200.

thanks for the update and I will check expertflyer. I had already looked into LAX as well as JFK but even those sectors are full.

Are there any other options to get a seat?

thanks

I don't know whether this is possible or how expensive it is, but flights to Paris for example over the next week are quite empty. Get there on EK and onward on another airline perhaps?

What about Houston? Would that help?
