Upgrade Chances : DXB - MAA
 

Hiya FT'ers,
I'm travelling from Dubai to Chennai in EK-546 on 19th July.. I am looking for Y - J upgrade.. But can't find any seats.. Any chances to get seats..? If Possible, Can someone check in ExpertFlyer..? I don't have access to ExpertFlyer..

Why don't you sign up for it? Either that or give Skywards a call. As a rule of thumb seats are either open in advance or very close to depature. Y-J are very rare, especially on those trips with high premium loads.

I am "nipping" to BHX next Thursday (22nd), brought ticket in Y was told that I could upgrade to J with miles. The minute it was booked seats had gone, (this was 2 weeks ago). Was told to call skywards twice a day to see if anything had become availabe. THEY called me yesterday to see if i wanted to use miles - I said yes and it was done! Never have they called me before when i was on wait list for an upgrade.

Return journey was confirmed at the time of booking.

It's on the pm flights both ways, so hopefully will get the 3 class as i have done on the last 7 return journeys and been given 1A each time!

We will see - lets hope it happens!

Keep us updated DTB as from what i hear they have permanantly removed 3 class aircrafts to and from bhx but it may happen. Let us know if it does.

They did the same to me dxb-bhx last Friday. I hadn't even called to upgrade and was happy with a y class journey for once. Temptation got the better of me though and I burned 50k. At least it was the new generation J.

I am gold and they usually comp me an upgrade on short flights coz Y is full.

So to get onto the waiting list, I need to give skywards a ring and tell them to put me on it? flying man-osaka and nrt-man nxt march and nothing coming up yet for upgrading y-j
