EK004 - 27th December
 
Hello,

I've just had a very nice person call from Emirates asking me whether I would like to fly out from Gatwick on the 27th rather then from Heathrow. There was an offer of a voucher, but LHR is nearer for us, and I'm not fond of LGW.
I did ask if a F upgrade was possible, but that was declined :)
I know at one stage EK004 was going to be an A380, but is now a 777-300ER, does that mean that they have oversold J, especially in light of BA's "troubles" and now they are asking pax to move across to Gatwick instead to fill J?

Just curious if anyone knows?

What was the voucher for-- a return LON-DXB?

Are you in Y or J already?

If voucher was any good I would taken the 50GBP cab ride!

I am not sure if EK 004 was ever due to be the A380. I flew out in September and it was the 777ER with the Suites in F. As the previous OP asked, what is the voucher for? Is it worth the taxi fare to LGW? If so, then go with the LGW departure.

EK are still happily selling seats in Y and [discounted] J for EK004 on Dec 27th... so it can't be an oversell situation.
