Last Minutes EL-AL flights on "Daka 90" web site...

From today, EL-AL will operate togther with the Daka90 web site,
special section ("Night Birds") in the web site where flights for the next day
will be sold very cheap (LTN 299$, MAD 299$ (Prices are 149$ to 299$
depends on the destination).

The "catch" is:
- No points are given for those flights
- You have to stay satuday
- Its for flight from monday to thursday only

prices are valid from 18:00 to Midnight of the same day.
comparing EL-AL Spontani vs this new "Night Birds", New service is
100$ cheaper than EL-AL Spontani on the same flights.

Thanks for posting. ^

Sounds like there are some real bargains to be had, if one can be flexible enough with their travel plans.

Real good bargins, but as usual only for trips starting in Israel
for some reason it's the Israelies who keep on getting all these offers, and we Europeans are left out

Not exactly, If i am a company which took S class on those flights, and the dates fits, I can cancel the S class (no fees for cancelation in this class)
and take the no class ticket... I saved $$$
Same flight, Less money.... And who cares about the points for the poor
guy to fly this flight... 8-(

FYI, The Travel Agents Association goes into war with EL-AL on this...
they are planning to sue EL-AL on such type of co-operation which is
made only with daka90 and not with everyone... (just saw in calcalist.co.il)

Its like i will start to complain there is no Matmid Family and Business Plus program to israelis (which exist in the UK)... or when MIA was working there
was a 699$ + 99 points deal to fly israel while from IL it was double the price.

Every market have its own deals and marketing methods...

I am preparing to spend roughly 5 weeks in Israel starting from June7, and I think these night birds deals could be very useful. I don't collect Matmid points, and last-minute cheap travel to Europe would be super cool. I do wish the daka90 website was available in English, though.

Russain only, or you can always call them, 03-6366883
(i think they charge 5$ for deals thru the phones...)

If you are really on last minute deals, they have a counter in the airport
where you can go with your lugage, and choose whatever they have for
immediate, normally you can get great deals with hotels for 200 to 300$
to europe. (but its charters)

Has anyone checked what the prices were like for these Night Birds specials? I've been in Israel for over a week now, and each day I try to check but always forget. Now, I have a few days off starting tomorrow so I'm curious what the trend has been (if any) for these Night Birds special fares on El Al.

Calling daka90 resulted in some very competitive prices for all-inclusive trips on charters departing tomorrow, but I want to fly El Al, and all-inclusive isn't very appealing to me.

ETA: Have just tried to book one of these Night Birds tickets, and it turns out that you MUST hold an Israeli Teudat Zehut to get these prices. Without it, you can not book these fares. Ugh.

Can you earn miles on these fares with elal partners, eg. by crediting to AA?
