EL AL Aircraft used bus. class seats for sale on eBay - proceeds for charity

Hello,
In Summer 2007 EL AL renewed its fleet with two new Boeing 777 aircraft, among the most advanced of its type in the world. The new planes, “Sderot” and “Kiryat Shmone”, placed EL AL at the technological forefront internationally and marked a significant step up in passenger service and flight experience. The aircraft were especially designed for EL AL with a modern, prestigious looking cabin interior.

The arrival of the new aircraft was the first stage in the project of upgrading and renewing the other 777 aircraft, which was completed several months ago. EL AL is now in the final stages of this extensive renewal project, with the upgrading of its 747-400 planes, which is expected to be completed in March 2009.

With its completion, EL AL passengers flying to long-range destinations will enjoy 11 large-bodied aircraft of a uniform high standard and an improved flight experience that includes bed-seats in the premium Classes, new seat upholstery in Economy Class and an improved cabin interior in all Classes.

After the Business Class seats have provided comfort for EL AL passengers for seven years, EL AL is proud to offer for sale, in a public auction style, five sets (pairs) of Business Class seats, for anyone who has dreamed of enjoying the prestigious Business Class experience without leaving home. The seats can help create a unique experience in one’s home or office or even as a private cinema.

EL AL has earmarked the proceeds from the sale, after deduction of the sale expenses, as a contribution to Variety - The Children’s charity organization.

I like how you listed these under eBay Motors...

Well, good cause so cannot argue with this, but I have to say EL AL Rep, that it is a great shame you choose to appear here every few months or so rather then taking an active part in the forum as other airline and hotels reps are doing on their respected forums.

There are many issues your Matmid members (including much Gold’s and Platinum’s) bring up on here that you could assist them with.
Not to mention you could learn a lot from the criticisms of various aspects of your products and services (as well as praises) and since you quoted your sale spiel in your post and went on and on about the "wonderful" 777 product, you might like to read a little, and see what your customers really think about the new Business and First class offering...

Can these chairs be put right onto your floor or do they have to be bolted to it?

I was actually wondering more about whether there are any special electricity requirements.

Interesting film especially the camera showing the flight straight ahead.
Really don't like the look of the seats. How do couples sit together?

But since this is the EL AL forum look at 7:54- 8:00 in the movie

Agreed.

I am thinking about getting rid of a two-seater couch that I have and would give serious consideration to replacing it with these chairs if I knew I could just set them down and plug them in to my normal outlet.

The answers to the questions we asked were not published on ebay. If I buy these chairs am I going to be stuck with two chairs that will be very difficult to bolt into my tile floors and impossible to power without major changes to my electrical system?

I'm sure you speak for everyone here, but I'm also sure "El Al Rep" doesn't care...

Why is El Al systematically unable to behave like the other players on the market when it comes to service and customer care.....
