LY to Eilat
 

Just noticed on LY's Hebrew website that they have applied to the Ministry of Transport to fly TLV (BGN) to Eilat. This would be great as it would probably let us use bonus points for flights to Eilat. Is it for real or just a ploy to "threaten" Arkia and Israir?

Any idea if they'd be flying to ETH by January as I have a trip TLV-ETH at that time and would love to earn some points for it.

As of right now, LY is codehsaring with Israir on some TLV-ETH flights but does not sell those as single inland tickets - only as connecting tickets. The thing about flying LY metal and code to ETH is more of a headline than something with real substance. IMHO, If they ever get permission to do such flights it will only be feeder flights on international tickets rather than full domestic license and they would have to fly to Haifa and the north as well.
