Ly Ewr-jfk?

Saw something strange on the JFK monitors last night, which I also found on the arrivals/departures section of the LY website.

LY027 arrived JFK 7:57 this morning, inbound from EWR! (JFK arrival shows up, not EWR departure).

any idea what gives? positioning flight?

Yes, It was a 777-200 4X-ECB repositioning flight.. departed EWR, climbed 6000 east, then onto VOR 22L approach.

the flight later departed as 008

hope it gave you some info :)

Kind of a modern-day reenactment of the crossing of the Sea of Reeds, except crossing NY Harbor instead? If only Moses had a 777.

No Moses is waiting for the Boeing Dreamliner not the A380 which is a flying elephant.

...Or the Worldliner. 40 years in the desert doesn't allow one for many fuel-stops!

Didn't Golda Meir used to say that Moses wasn't so hot, he took 40 years to lead us to the only place in the middle east with no oil!
