Code share flight help

Am booked on a code-share round trip TLV-LIS-TLV, where the first leg is operated by TAP, and the return leg operated by ELAL.

I want to have the miles register on TAP, and going to my UA MILEAGEPLUS account.

does it makes sense? What should I do?

thank you!

Only for the flight on TAP metal will you get united miles. You can only get matmid on leg handled by El Al. Thats the downside of codeshares.

Yes and no. If all flight numbers are under LY code, you will not get UA miles even for the TP flight. If all flight numbers are under TP code, you can not accuse matmid points, and you can’t credit the LY flight to UA as well.

For you to be able to credit to UA the flight needs to be both operated and marketed by *A partner.

However, you can always credit flights marketed by an airline into its own program. I.e. you can credit an LY flight to TP if you booked under a TP flight number.

you can try to "play" the system and try calling any *A program to credit your TAP into this one
and LY into Matmid/Alaska

waiting for your update!

The suggestion regarding the LY segment won’t work. LY does not even allow their own flights to be credited to Matmid if they’re marketed by other airlines.
