Equipment changes for Passover: when will it be stabilized?
Hi guys
I would like to book my tickets from CDG to TLV for Passover but it seems that the equipment changes all the time. I wanted to fly both the 788 and the 789, but the 788 flight is down to a 739, and the 789 flight is up to a 777 lol. I know equipment changes all the time on flights to CDG but when will the schedule be more or less stabilized for Passover holidays? Thanks |
Obviously the closer it get's to the time and the flights fill up, the less change of a switch, but how can anyone here help you on this, or guarantee a specific cut off date after which no further changes will be made? Impossible I'm afraid...

And the more I wait, the more prices will go up...
What dates you looking at? |
You need to decide what’s more important. Is it flying specific equipment or being in Israel for Passover? If the former wait and risk price increases, poor seat selection or no seats on the flight of your choice. If the later, book a flight- it’s a plane, it will get you there!

exactly. I was going to add that I'm sure considering it's Pesach you won't want to wait too long.
What dates you looking at? Apr 5: LY324 now 789 Apr 6: LY324 now 788 Apr 22: LY325 now 739 |

No kidding, if I fly LY, I don’t want to get an old plane |

Apr 5 or 6, to 22
Apr 5: LY324 now 789 Apr 6: LY324 now 788 Apr 22: LY325 now 739 And on the return, unless you don't want to take a morning flight back, the LY323 (9am) is showing as a 787-9. |

I would just book it now if the price is right. The 787 (mostly the -9) is scheduled to operate LY324 every day throughout the summer schedule at least (i.e at least until the end of October next year), so while equipment changes could happen it's probably a safe enough bet.

I share your pain.
I finally decided to splurge on PE on an upcoming flight, and my plane is scheduled to be a 770. The seats are woefully outdated. I cant imagine what the folks in First will be thinking. But the reality is that metal changes do take place- and you have figure out whats important. |
Equipment change is a problem at LY (and other airlines). But things will improve once the 777s are retrofitted :)

i would imagine anyone booking First on LY will be aware of the hard product on offer.
As already mentioned, no PE on the 777 (yet...). As per the OP, metal changes happen. |
Which route do you fly Simba?
