Bidding farewell to ElAl's 747s

A moving, nostalgic and emotional (though somewhat inaccurate) article in HaAretz today (sorry, Hebrew only and may require pay) bids farewell to ElAl's last jumbos. Don't miss an amazing video that shows the scrapping of Rishon Lezion (4X-EDB).

The article is in Hebrew and requires a subscription. How about we stick with Globes?

English version of article. If the Paywall shows up for you, open a new browser and search in Google for "Boeing 747 queen of the sky El Al Jumbo" and then click the Haaretz link in the results, which should show you the full article without the paywall.

I donít think they scrapped EDB. EDB is the new registration for the the 787-9 named after Rishon.
4x-ELE was also called Rishon Lezion and that was the one scrapped.

Nect week one of the four original LY 744 will be retired
