A sandwich. Industrial and bland tasting. The corn beef sandwich included a single slice of corn beef.

I will stop by my cousin's bakery the night before and bring a big bag of goodies to share with my seat mates.

LY food related so thought i'd save opening up a new thread.

On a trip booked LTN -TLV (09.40) & TLV - LTN (18.45) the meal is classed as a snack/Brunch however on a ticket booked LHR-TLV (15.35) departure and TLV - LHR ( 17.20)departure the meal is classed as a hot meal. Can anyone expand a little further as to what to expect? Been a while since I've flow El Al in economy but always used to be chicken or beef

update

TLV to BUD June 13 2019 offered either Sabich (eggplant egg spicy on a warm bun) or Mozarella on a bun
BUD to TLV June 16 2019 evening flight Sabich or warm corned beef on a bun

Plus as much water as you could drink

Found it difficult to eat a sloppy sandwich in the dark cabin at 130 am even with a reading light on...El Al may wish to reconsider the food it serves in the dark

Have only recently flown TLV to BUD which is around 3 hours so cannot comment on what other food drink offerings are available. Return ticket cost me $232 USD which is not the cheapest...have seen tickets around the $175 USD range. Unwilling to fly Wizz Air to save money as I mistrust low cost airlines in terms of flight crew quality and aircraft maintenance. A generalized statement I realize.

So from what flight time do we move from sandwich to a plated meal on flights to Europe?
