New Concourse to be Built at TLV

https://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/Be...pansion-589543

One more concourse to be built - finally the missing "A" concourse? Hopefully this will mean fewer buses to/from the terminal. Not sure how this is expected to help with the current overcrowded lounge situation. My wife flew business class in J on United the other night to Newark and said the "E" lounge was closed. Wondering where they will move the duty free shop to...

This is just great news. With 20+ new routes coming this summer, the airport will be at maximum capacity. Hopefully, it can accommodate a new lounge. Maybe a oneworld one...

I lost all hopes for a decent lounge in TLV. All the current ones, including KD are sub-par, really poor quality of design, food and beverages. Overcrowded, noisy and overpriced.

I really hope no one pays the full entrance price for it

So do I I think though the price the airlines are paying per pax have some negative effect on their ops in TLV. Not sure though.

I'm not sure how that figures, most customers aren't stewing about complaining about the lousy lounges. its not like anyone is in a different position except LY. This last trip I didn't even bother with the DAN lounge.

I usually don't bother either, I arrive to the airport late enough to not have much time to "spare", if everything goes smoothly I like to browse around the electronic shop for a bit, then if the lounge in the concourse I'm flying out of is open I might go and grab a bottle of juice and head to the gate.

Last two flights I have chosen to eat at Schmoozy's rather than go to the lounge. Mediocre, but better than the lounge food.

Last time I was in KD lounge I found it only marginally better than Dan. A little less crowded, slightly better beverages and food offering, shabby furniture in dire need of replacement.

If TK has a lounge in BKK (although only a mediocre one), they should open one in TLV as well as I think they have more pax capacity to TLV than BKK

I believe it is a question of operating costs as well as politics ( I am quite sure that someone in Ankara will raise an eyebrow if TK does that).
