First 777 upgraded?

4X-ECC is back in service today, flew TLV - BOS. This was the plane that was damaged in Warsaw when Bibi was supposed to fly back home. After a long period of repairs, it is back into service.

Since LY announced it would upgrade all 777, did they use the opportunity to do so already on this first plane?

Do we know how long it stayed at WAW for? That could tell us if there ws enough time for an upgrade at TLV.

This kind of upgrade can’t be made unexpectedly.
So I don’t think the refurbishment of the plane is made

Considering the refurbishment is supposed to include a new business class cabin similar to the Dreamliners, I think El Al would make sure we knew about it.

The aircraft has been sitting at TLV since 20 FEB (nearly 2 months).

It takes over a year to order a new interior for a plane from the manufacture
some interiors even two years
if it’s on order you can’t juat tell the manufacture , let’s do it now 3 or x months before the scheduled delivery and installation time

I would assume after the Dreamliner order is fulfilled?

Shouldn’t LY get rid of their 777s and standardize its fleet around the 3 versions of the 787 (-8, -9, -10)?

That would avoid a costly refurbishment for the 777.
And the 787 would enable a better fuel efficiency.
