Hugely disappointing now that I've had it, at least on the LAX-TLV leg. My lunch on flight 006 (or was it dinner?) in C was hot to the point of burning, basically consisting of brown rice and broccoli. Tasteless, a mediocre Y class meal and certainly nothing I would ever have expected in business.
Still in Israel, flying back on 005 on Monday morning. Hoping for better with ex-TLV catering.
Will say that based on my past experiences in Israel (to which I have always previously traveled on BA or Delta) I expected LY to have excellent food and lousy service. Was surprised at how bad the food was; was pleasantly surprised by attentive and competent FAs.

My food was quite good: pasta, houmous, fruit, Israeli salad.
It was the first time I ate everything since I fly with LY in C.
The service was professional (although the FA didn't know how to use the AVOD system )

Is it actually lacto?
Bump -
I was wondering if in practice, notwithstanding the name of the meal, El Al''s LO meals are actually dairy free if the regular meal being served at the same time is a meat meal? Or are these meals cooked/served in foil and thus can have dairy even if everyone else gets meat?
Thanks!
