Roundup of schedule changes from winter 18-19
 
i posted the main aspects of the schedule and a/c changes to W18/19 timetable in various post but I think it’s better to consolidate it into one new thread. .
i found this handy summary on routesonline.com:


Tel Aviv – Bangkok Planned 747-400 service remains unchanged, scheduled until 30MAR19 from TLV, 31MAR19 from BKK
Tel Aviv – Barcelona Previously filed 777-200ER service once a week has been removed
Tel Aviv - Boston El Al Israel Airlines in winter 2018/19 season is adjusting operational aircraft for Tel Aviv – Boston route, reflected in last week’s schedule update. From 28OCT18, the 3 weekly service will be operated by Boeing 777-200ER, replacing Boeing 767.
(Same with Beijing)
Following schedule effective 04NOV18 – 09MAR19.

LY015 TLV0030 – 0615BOS 772 247
LY016 BOS2015 – 1320+1TLV 772 4
LY016 BOS2100 – 1405+1TLV 772 2
Tel Aviv – Bucharest eff 02NOV18 777-200ER to operate once a week on regular basis as LY573/574 on Day 5, replacing 767 in W17
Tel Aviv - Johannesburg El Al Israel Airlines in recent schedule update filed additional changes to South Africa, effective 28OCT18. Latest adjustment now sees the airline continues to operate 3 weekly Tel Aviv – Johannesburg flight, instead of planned 4 weekly. Operational aircraft will also change from Boeing 767 to 777.

Tel Aviv – Los Angeles eff 28OCT18 787-9 Dreamliner replaces 777-200ER, 3 weekly (Reflected in last week’s schedule update)
Tel Aviv – Mumbai eff 28OCT18 Subject to Government Approval, 777-200ER replaces 767, 4 weekly
Tel Aviv – Newark eff 28OCT18 Service revised from 10 to 6 weekly, 787-9 Dreamliner operating
Tel Aviv – New York JFK LY001/002 continues to see 747-400 operating, replacing a mix of 787-9 and 777-200ER. The 747-400 is scheduled to operate until 31MAR19 (from JFK until 30MAR19), instead of 25OCT18

Very useful indeed.

Glad to see that the "end" is in sight for the 767 on the YYZ run. As much as I hate it, I'm sure to be nostalgic once it's gone forever.

It would also appear that LY could do with another 3-4 777's as well as another 3-4 787's.

Oh well....

i think 323/324 will be mostly 777 with occasional 787, and 325/326 will be mix 739/777/789

I think they plan on keeping one around for 787 engine problems

Why/when did ELAL change flight schedule on the YYZ-TLV route? Now we lose almost a full day in Israel on the TLV-YYZ leg of the journey.
