Munich "no lounge"?

Has anyone flown out of Munich recently?
Is there still no lounge?
Is there still an option for a meal in the Kampinsky if you come early enough?

Answer

I sent a message to LY customer relations and they replied that the lounge is in the Hilton.

Which is the Kempinski- it has been rebadged.

When I was last there (6 months or so ago) there was no executive lounge in the hotel - so not sure what El Al do. Maybe voucher for the bar/restaurant?

I got a 20 Euro voucher for the bar of the Hilton.

I flew into Munich and had no idea where I was when I left the airport where I was. 1F?! I now know what the F stands for :-)
I thought I had landed into some 3rd world country. Only now have I found:
https://blog.armbruster-it.de/2019/0...-some-ranting/
and
https://flight-report.com/en/report/...C-Tel-Aviv-TLV
which sums it up as:
"As there also exists no special premium lounge I was given a voucher at the Business Class check in counter worth 12 EUR to spend at the regular bar.
I used the voucher to start the day with a cup of tea and a pretzel."

Not looking forward to winning a bid to be upgraded. If I had known all this would not have offered a bid and stuck with my exit seat.

If you are upgraded - either arrive very late (but be careful, security takes time) or arrive 3 hours before the flight, check in, take the Hilton voucher and go eat in the hotel.

There is no Hilton voucher any more. EUR 12 voucher to spend at the bar after security. The terminal is pretty dire.

Did you ask for it?
also in the past they were not happy to give it and tried to convince me to take the voucher for the small shop in the terminal

I didn't specifically ask. So maybe it was an option had I requested.

I have the 12Euro voucher which I couldn't use since there was always a long line for the single waitress making coffee and serving customers. No option offered for the Hilton.
