ElAl reveals some of the plans for the Dreamliners.

So according to a reliable source attending the ELAL event last night (held for premium customers I believe), the current plans for the 787s are:

* 1-2-1 seating in business, with a brand new seat (obviously) and no First.

* A proper Premium Economy product with the usual industry standard of
38" seat pitch and a separate cabin.

* On board WiFi.

* Brand new Panasonic IFE.

That's all I know for now...

I don't know.
If it is a proper Y+, I would say 2-3-2 or 2-4-2

Good to hear! What are the chances of ElAl retrofitting the 777's to the same standard
(I'm pretty sure I know the answer already!!)

You forget something? Don't you think that they will have a new J class products?

What makes you think otherwise? 3-3-3 is the standard on almost all carriers operating the 787, aside from a limited few who went with a 2-4-2 cabin. The 787 cabin width is 5.49 Meters compared to 5.87 on the 777, since many carriers operate a 777 with 10 seats per row, 9 seats would be suitable for the 787.

Most people are more than happy to be squeezed in Y if it means lower fares. If someone doesn't like it he/she can pay up for a J seat or a Y+ seat (assuming LY will actually install a proper Y+ seat similar to the J cabin on the 737).

Well, flying on AC's Dreamliner, I don't know how happy people are in regards to being "squeezed". It is a squeeze,the seats and the aisles are very very narrow.
That being said- AC's prices have decreased since launching the Dreamliner, and in some cases the prices are well below LY's.

Im curious to see if LY would actually have lower prices- im abit skeptical.

Were routes discussed?

those Y+ seats on AC are not so comfortable either.

i bet eventually all the 767 routes (priority to YYZ, BOS, LHR, CDG, )
plus
MIA, ORD Japan and BKK.

I wonder if SFO is still an option after UA is planning on starting the route.

BOS?
Really?
I would assume they would move the current fleet from JFK/EWR down to YYZ or BOS
