Five Hour Delay
 
as a GL Member i had a five hour delay due to issues with the aircraft last mont on LY 315 To LHR should i receive any Compensation from EL AL?

Two options here. EU216 or ask for Matmid Points. I would recommend the first option and take someone special for a nice dinner with the money.

LY315 would not entitle you to EU261 as the flight isn't operated by a European carrier of from a European airport. There is some similiar Israeli law which could perhaps apply, anybody familiar with details of this law?

I'm curious--why would you as a GL member get more or less than anyone else who was on the flight?

I was wondering that myself, especially since GL's dont appear to be a priority for the airline to begin with. They only seem to care about TPL's.

I Know as A GL with United i get more compensation then a Basic member so was wondering if its the same with EL AL
