I was following the ELY5425 (operating for Sun d'or) to AMS yesterday morning as it took off from TLV and then ended up circling over the sea near Haifa dumping fuel for a couple of hours or so.
Apparently it suffered some tire damage at takeoff, and the flight crew were consulting with the ground team best course of action while they were dumping fuel.
Initially an emergency situation was declared at TLV, but that was later on cancelled.
Thankfully they landed safe and sound, but I'm guessing it wasn't much fun for the passengers.
I also hope the captain kept the passenger well informed as to what was going on, as LY are not known for being very good at that (unlike BA for example...).
