Wow. It seems that everything is ready, including the flight numbers, times, etc., however it wasn't approved yet?!? Typical LY...

Just looked at this again - this will truly be awesome if it's priced right. Assuming they get the schedule right you can do an overnight from TLV, have meetings in BOS all day and then get an early evening flight to SJC or SFO on a decent airline and watch TV the whole way there. This will be really good for the techies.
IT will be good for the techies, but I wonder if there is really enough traffic to make it worthwhile. B6 can provide some good feed, and LY already has an interline agreement with Porter for YTZ->EWR, presumably they can add YTZ-BOS as well.

I wonder which aircraft they will fly from BOS to TLV.

The articles say 767.

Seems great, especially for people looking to connect as BOS will likely make for a slightly shorter flight than EWR/JFK and will be a better connection. Especially once all terminals are connected airside

15 hours in BOS? That's more than enough time for an SFO hop.

It will be interesting to see how TK prices BOS-IST-TLV when/if these LY non-stops are loaded.

Not just TK. Also: AF/KL, AZ, BA, LH, and LX.

Hmm. Wonder if B6 will now be serious about adding Mint to BOS-LAX/SFO now that LY will fly to BOS.

They tried TLV-MIA in the past, but they didn't work out well. It was operate 767-200ER aircraft and now, they retired the entire 767-200ER.
