LY drops its evening flight to ETH: why?

I was surprised to see that LY has dropped its evening flight to ETH: it is now operated by an Israir ATR72.
Does someone know why?

Thanks

LY can only operate 500 seats (or so) a day to ETH. Therefore, in order to allow the 4th daily flight to be added, the total seats offered in every day must not exceed this number. Therefore, between 1-2 flights a day will be operated with the ATRs.

No, they have cancelled their 3rd daily flight!

ASAIK, they are just letting israir operate it under an LY code. Therefore it is considered as an LY flight, and nothing is cancelled

But that's because of what I wrote earlier. The flight is not cancelled, just operated by other airline for LY

no, this is not because of that. Until recently, LY operated 3 flights with their own a/c: 2 operated by 738, 1 by 73G.

And now, since on some days (4 days a week) there will be 4 flights, the seat restrictions make them use smaller planes

Thatīs interesting. Which days do they have 4 daily flights?

I wish they'd start up some service from Haifa with a somewhat more comfortable plane. We always fly and those ATRs are just horribly small and uncomfortable.

Here is all the info regarding the 4th daily flight including an explantion of why they use the ATRs:

Not much of a difference sitting in coach on the 21:50 flight back to TLV.

Personally, I don't like flying on turboprop. So, this downgauge is a no go for me.
