Thumbs up Venue

Ok folks... we're on!

The venue is Kakao at 37 Rothschild in Tel Aviv. I booked a table for 10 for 17:30 on Wednesday, January 23. Does that work for most of us? The venue is Kosher.

Website: http://www.rol.co.il/sites/kakao-tar/

Please post or PM me.

We will have a few folks from EL AL joining, but this is an informal gathering and conversation will not be limited to EL AL topics.

Excuse my ignorance of TLV geography, but what's the closest bus station?

Don't know where you're coming from, but there's a bus stop on Rothchild Blvd, the 70. If you're Hebrew is good enough, use bus.gov.il. Not as good the public transportation search function as Google Maps, but it's pretty good. You can put in an address and it'll point you to the closest bus stop.

Sorry, but I will have to pass on this. I actually thought I would be able to make it as my UIG (Used Italian Girlfriend) is in Tel Aviv and I thought I could spend the night at her house before returning home. Unfortunately, some things came up and I will to be home until late on Wednesday.

Sounds like 10 places won't be enough.
Wish I could make it too.

Oy vey!

It would be interesting to know who actually shows up from the regulars here as well as from EL AL. I would jump on a plane now and head over there if Shkedy's appearance was confirmed.

Take the 480 to Alozorov and the 70 or 142 from there to Rothschild. (You can alternatively take the slightly longer 405 to Tel Aviv CBS, and the 70 or 5 from there.)

I've updated the first post with the people that confirmed and those that seem likely but haven't confirmed.

Liat will join us and can also discuss their website. Also likely someone from Matmid.

Note this isn't a presentation by EL AL but an open discussion of the things that we are interested in. Miles, Points, flying, traveling. Always good to have conversations with insiders and share information and expectations from one another.

Would it be possible for one of the attendees to make a post after the get together highlighting the points discussed and what the EL AL representatives said? Also, pictures of the get together would be nice!

I'll try, but I'm sure between all of us, your bases will be covered.
