Connection Time at JFK

I'm arriving into JFK on LY007 arriving at 15:20. Is it possible for me to clear immigration and customs and re-check in at Jet Blue in time for a 19:15 departure? Thanks for your help!

Even the worst case scenario that's OK..excluding significant delayed arrival of course.

Thanks. Neither EL AL nor Jet Blue are my usual airlines and I've never flown to JFK so I wasn't entirely sure. I will be checking bags, but I assume this won't add too tong to the process?

You will be 100% fine. (Assuming no IRROPS obviously.) You will get into T4, and while Customs & Immigration is really annoying at JFK, you should be out by 16:30 at the latest. Then, you head over to T5 and enjoy the nice B6 hub!

if it was less then 3 hours, you could have used Elal's Quick connect service at JFK

This service seems to be on a page aboput three years old. There is no mention of it on the JFK website. Do you know if it is available now?

My nephew and his family did that connection a few weeks ago. ( I met and socialized with them at JFK) Unfortunately, the EL AL flight came in 2 hours late--which meant no sit down meal for us BUT he easily made the connection. Inasmuch as you have never done this before make sure the airtain you take is the one that is going to terminal 5/6 NEXT stop. ( the one on the other track will hit 5/6 eventually)

You want the "Jamaica" or "Howard Beach" AirTrain. In both those cases, T5 is the next stop. Don't take the "All Terminals" line, or T5 won't be for a while.

Also, don't forget to claim your bags at T4. You can drop them off again at the B6 counter in T4 just after customs.
