747 Seat Maps
 

Hi, I have a few reservations for an ELAL flight on May 24 in Y and the seat maps shows ranks 6,7,8,9,10,11 with 6 seats across (3+3) and 12,13 with only 2 seats. Then there is 14 which is regular Y seating for 747 (3+4+3).
It does not reflect the usual seating (J starting at 10 with a 2+3+2 configuration , Y at 21 with a 3+4+3 configuration).
Anyone know what is going on ?

The ELH is all economy downstairs. There were posts discussing if the seats in the front are good or not.
Where are you flying from? This aircraft usually flies TLV-BKK.

starting 22-april, the BKK route will start using 767-200/300 and not 777/747 .
i've seen the ELH scheduled also for NYC.

Maybe they want to prove that the ELH is not the worst aircraft so they schdule the 767.

it's a shame the 747 doesnt continue this route for the near future...
i really liked the idea of purchasing a very low cost economy ticket, and sitting in biz class....

Stinks then. It's a shame that LY claims that CDG is one of their most important routes (along with LHR and NYC), and treats it with ELH. It's also a shame that ELH is a part of the LY fleet

It's an old plane, and a not worthwhile investment considering the maintenance cost just getting it back into service, and the upkeep.
While others are looking to improve their fleets, LY regressed with this purchase.

While others are looking to upgrade their F, C, and Y seats, LY bought a plane with no F, crappier C, more Y, and worse Y.
