Iphone checkin
I did some checkins with the iPhone app.
Most security people dont know about it. They can send you back to print a boarding card. The barcode does not work in the duty free shops as well. The barcode does not work in the KDL entrence machine. Flying BA from London and using there App is great and working all the way. You can not checkin with the BA app from TLV Lior |
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)
Agree, tried the LY app check in from LGR a couple of weeks ago and would not work so had to go back to check in and get one printed. |
TLV is just not made for mobile check-in. Can't do it with CO either.
TLV needs to become app-friendly, and LY needs to come out with a single, multi-platform app, that works and is helpful! |
Didn't work for me either . . . typical El Al IT dept morons . . . they can't seem to get anything right, not the apps, not the website, not online checkin, nothing. Pretty ironic for the national airline of a country that is a world technology leader!

Since the last update, the El Al checkin app crashes when started on my iPhone 4s. Anybody else having similar problems?

Just get it through your heads:
LY and IT just don't go together. Israeli hi-tech is only impressive when exported. The stuff created for domestic consumption, El Al's tech presence a prime example, is unadulterated CRAP. |

El Al just updated the iphone app - To add a declaration against carrying dangerous / prohibited items. That probably used up all their development budget for iphone for the year.
