ELAL KD Lounges/Lounge Access across the world

Access rules

LY F and C pax have access to the lounge, and F pax have additional access to the First Class section of the lounge. F pax may bring in up to 2 guests, each a minimum of 2 years of age. C pax may bring in up to 1 guest, minimum of 2 years of age. (We are aware of cases where babies have been brought in - YMMV)
Matmid Gold, Platinum, and Top Platinum also have access to the lounge.
As from April 2011, TPL's only have access for the F Class Lounge for themselves, and this will only run up to 30/06/11 (or until new information/guidelines are drawn up and published.
Note that with the exception of the lounge in TLV, Matmid Gold and higher, & KD members, only have free access to the lounge when departing on an El Al flight!
The same access rules for Matmid Gold/Platinum applies to King David lounge members! The cost for membership is $300/year, though if sponsored by an existing member, you get a 50% discount.
Matmid Gold/Higher/KDL members are able to arrange for a guest to have access to the KDL if they are not themselves flying. This will cost 60 points from their account, and needs to be arranged beforehand with the Matmid/KD service desk. You will need to know the flight details and name of the person who you wish to arrange this for. Note: As of December 2010, you are only able to arrange this for people traveling on LY flights. People traveling on any other airline are not able to have guest access pre-arranged for themselves if the Matmid/KD holder is not going to be present (if they are present, then there is no problem). This is due to new security rules that have been implemented by Ben Gurion Airport

According to the Munich website, no lounge there partners with LY. I'll try giving ELAL a call next week to find out if they do offer a lounge service..

Awesome!

In EWR, the partnership with BA no longer exists. They now use the Marriott Lounge.

Also, I believe there used to be a KDL in LAX. Has it since closed?

With regards to LAX - I've found mention of a KDL there, but nothing current...

Munich

I heard a rumor about Munich: If you have King David you indeed get a voucher for coffee.
BUT, if you insist you get a voucher to go and get breakfast in the airport Kempinsky.
Has anyone had this expierience?

Somewhat sounds like EWR, if you show up within an hour of the flight, you get a $20 gift certificate to use for the restaurants in the terminal. What if you keep Kosher though??

  1. I believe this is the list on El Al's website, which hasn't been updated in quite some time.
  2. If you're flying AA to connect to LY, wouldn't you have lounge access?

Sn1ke, thanks for this comprehensive update. Since when were TPLs allowed access to the F section? There's no sign of this on the TPL page of El Al's website, in Hebrew or English.
