Configuration of 747

Haven't flown on a jumbo for a long time.

What is the configuration these days of the LY jumbos?
is the downstairs all economy or is it one section of first, two of business and 3 of economy?

Seat maps can be found at:
http://www.elal.co.il/ELAL/Hebrew/Ab...leet_about.htm

And specifically for the 747 at:
http://www.elal.co.il/NR/rdonlyres/2...lane747400.swf

Also, http://www.seatguru.com is a very good site for seat maps.

Yes.
There's one that's still configured with the old SQ seats. You can look it up here, there's a thread about it. The way to tell it apart is by looking at the seat map: you'll see an extra row (row 80) in the upper deck.

Click on the moving red arrow on the stairs and click on it again after the map zooms in. The upper deck map will then display.

Two in the LY 747 (one up front, one in the rear near the stairs).
Don't quite remember the SQ one, but I think there's only one up front.

Toilets you mean... 8-),
SQ have only one...
The others have two...

EL-AL tend to split the business between the upper deck and lower deck where one of them will be without kids if possible and the other with (if any one flight in business class), You might want to check on this as well when you do check-in if kids disturb you.
(Upper deck is better for my opinion!)
