Booking LY Codeshares
A friend has a ticket with LY NYC-TLV-NYC, and has flown the first segment. I'm not sure if he has an open-ended ticket or is simply extending an existing flight.
My (and his) question is: the best flight for him is actually a codeshare and not on LY metal. It's JFK-LHR on AA, (but with an LY flight number,) and then LHR-TLV on LY. Would El Al let him book this flight, or does he have to stick to their 3, non-stop, LY metal flights that day? p.s. In short, he wants to fly NYC-TLV, and the most convenient choice is JFK-LHR (AA); LHR-TLV (LY). |

It is a code with 4-8 charachters, usually the first character being the class of booking. |
