SFO flights delayed until May next year at the moment, which didn't stop them still selling tickets for none existing flights this morning.

I'm wondering what the longhaul fleet plan is. Right now, LY has 19 active passenger widebodies (3 744s, 6 772s, 4 789s, and 6 763s; ELC and EAK have not been used in weeks/months). In the next 5 months or so, LY is scheduled to retire 2 744s and receive 3 789s.
Assuming ELC and EAK return to service, the longhaul fleet in Nov. 2018 would then be: 2 744s, 6 772s, 7 789s, and 7 763s), for a total of 22 widebodies. In January 2019, a 744 (ELC) is scheduled to be retired and replaced by a new 789 (EDI?).

together with the apparent expediting of 763 retirements, I'm wondering what the plan is going to be for the 2018-2019 Winter season. 763 service to BOM and JNB gets slightly reduced (it will be comparable to last winter, actually) but no major changes otherwise. I'm guessing that the 789 intended for SFO will be used for MIA instead.
Who will get the freed-up 772 from MIA? BKK or YYZ?

Direct flights to Kenya a possibility
https://www.themarker.com/consumer/tourism/1.6158214
Kenya airways interested in direct flights to Israel and they even are looking for over flight permission from Sudan for such flights. (I'm surprised that Israel would even consider allowing such flights to Israel to overfly Sudan, even if it is a foreign airline).

IAD wants flights to TLV
https://www.flightglobal.com/news/ar...v-serv-448701/
Interesting that IAD management want to add direct flights to TLV. I just don't see which US carrier would do it. United has 2 flights from EWR plus their daily SFO flight. Delta would prefer to do it out of ATL I would think. And American ended their PHL flights a couple of years ago and they don't seem very interested in trying again. El Al's fleet won't have any capacity for a new route like this at least till end of 2019 when the 767/747's are retired and the new 787's are all delivered, and I would see them starting flights first in SFO and ORD before they think about IAD.
So who is left? Would be a great opportunity for a fifth freedom flight by Singapore Airlines. If Jetblue or Alaska Airlines had widebody planes then maybe one of them. Maybe Israir or Arkia with some leased aircraft?
