This was rumored last year, but seems to be actually happening this time.

Some redemption offers available for the MAN route at the moment if anyone intrested. 725 one way in Biz, and 225 in Economy.

Weren't we expecting to see TUS cease operations recently?

How exactly are so many airlines adding international capacity to an airport that the government is trying to shut down?

LY adding some extra frequencies as follows:

FCO - A third daily flight on Sunday and Thursday starting February, brining the total weekly flights on the route to 14.

GVA - The addition of a Friday flight as of January, and a Monday flight as of March (currently not operating on those days) brining the total to 6 weekly up until the end of November next year.

ATH - Additional weekly flights on Sunday and Friday starting Mid February.

SXF - A third daily flight on Sunday's and Thursdays during March, brining the total to 13 weekly flights.

With regard to your first point: Correct, but don't forget that Cobalt inaugurated a frequent flyer club shortly before going bye-bye.

With regard to the second: IT'S ISRAEL!

Google a bit and you will see the identical story about Singapore Airlines flights from a year ago. No mention in SQ forums here, or in routesonline.com etc. If indeed they are checking out hotel prices, it could mean they are evaluating the cost of such a route.

I wouldn't hold my breath, but if it happens, it would be great and would compete with CX and put price pressure on both on fares to Australia.
