Business Customer
My company just became a memebr of the "business customers" (Ha-Agaf Ha-Iski) of Elal.
Employees that were not members of FF can join for free. (I paid when I joined a year ago...) Are there any benefits for us when we fly or does it just mean that my company saves money? (I asked our HR what does it mean. She told me "achshav ata lakoach iski..." - probably lakoach iski in seat 54b...) |

Or in seat 54F (on the 744, to make sure you haven't even got the benefit of being near a window seat)
1. Your company get discounts on tickets (Q, S, D, F) classes between 5% to 20%, But this is only if your agent put the COMM details and your FF number is "bound" to the COMM Contract. 2. You get better priority on flights, And better seating (As long other GL, PL, TPLs didnt got it before of you, if you are SL or TL) 3. Your company will have better reporting from EL-AL on the activity 4. Your company might continue using the Travel Agent for booking, but payments will be done to EL-AL with up to 180 days credit. 5. Depends on the company activity, the CEO might get free KD card or free TPL (1m$ and up) 6. If your company fly group of people, they will get discounts. Its more for the company than for you... As for flying economy, Good Luck! (the more i think about flying economy in EL-AL the more i think its crime against humanity! but knows that one day i will return to Economy Anyway, For all of you economy flyers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43890ECsTuY - Scroll to 45second and watch from there) |

Actually, the process just changed. Companies will hand over a list of the employees and their Matmid numbers. They will no longer need to enter the COMM details. This is because travel agencies were caught using the discounts and COMM details for regular customers of theirs.
First, companies dont hand a list of employees and ffs, you do it thru the comm web site, So do opening new FFs for new people... The benefit of doing so thru the web site is that you can also designate a role for each employee in a way that the CEO will be known in EL-AL as the CEO (Helps when you use the VIP Services). (In the 10 years ago you will send the list, today they ask you to do it yourself) Also you have to put the COMM Details otherwise the flight wont appear in your company activity, And its the only way to distinguish and get the discount. If i fly with my family abroad for vacation, The agent is not supposed to put the COMM, If i fly from work abroad, The agent suppose to put the COMM. As for the latest incidents, There are periodic checks from EL-AL both for the agents and the companies (such as EL-AL calling your company asking if XYZ is working there or not, as an agent ticketed xyz a ticket with your comm number for the discount). |
