Easyjet reliability/punctuality

How reliable is Easyjet ... i.e. how's its punctuality and is it known for frequent cancellations? I'm also thinking of booking Air Southwest to Cornwall and back while in UK ... same questions regarding them.

In both cases I will have connections to make (with plenty of time between flights); however, I don't want to be stranded and/or misconnect.

Thanks.

Normally Easyjet are pretty good, where are you thinking of flying from/to. If its LGW we dont see many cancellations. The worst problem with Easyjet is normally winter weather disruption.
Make sure you check in early, they are strict with latecomers and dont let them fly.
Air Southwest are a much smaller outfit with only a few flights a day from LGW and have a reasonable reputation, but with little back up.

Yes, as noted, Air SouthWest is pretty small. Depends on time-of-year but fog in Cornwall can be a problem outside of the summer months.

My mother has used them - one nightmare journey involved a delayed take-off from LGW hoping fog would clear Newquay. Well it didn't and they were diverted to Plymouth where they had to wait for a coach.

Now she generally sticks to the train unless there is a real price advantage going by plane. But Penzance (where the train terminates) is better for her than Newquay (where the airport is) anyway.

As for Easyjet, I've found them OK but for low cost carriers I've found Ryanair more reliable. Only problem with Ryanair out of London is Stansted which I hate.

Currently they are cancelling a number of flights as they don't have enough staff - if you fancy being a FA it's a good chance of getting into the business.
