EasyJet - 90 rows of seats???

Was at EDI the other day and an Easy Jet plane to somewhere was boarding rows 1-60 then all rows 1-90. What on earth kind of plane was this? I was in the bar at the time so didn't get a look. Have easyjet bought some 747Ds?

Not rows, boarding numbers.

There is no assigned seating on easyjet. Instead you are given a number on your boarding pass, based on how early you checked in. Passengers then board in order of check-in, generally 30 at a time (i.e. boarding numbers 1-30, then 1-60, then 1-90, 1-120, 1-150). The early passengers grab the exit rows and the nicer seats, while the last ones to check in get middle seats...

As for planes, easyjet only operate two types, namely 737 Classics and Airbus A319's. Each takes around 150 passengers in their high density format (29 inch seat pitch!).
