easyJet launches flights to Cairo
easyJet has announced a brand new route to Egyptian capital, Cairo from London Luton which will take off for the first time this winter and operate all year round.
This will be the first time the airline will operate to the Cairo, one of the largest and most iconic cities in North Africa, and becomes the 157th destination on easyJet’s extensive short-haul network spanning Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Seats are on sale now at easyJet.com and via the mobile app. Departing for the first time on 31st October, flights will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays all year-round providing a direct connection for customers from the UK. |
With W9 also starting services this winter, this is a welcome increase in capacity and choice on the London - Cairo route, though note that these flights operate into Giza/Sphinx SPX rather than CAI. It's a brand new airport and there are plenty of reports of what could be described as teething issues.

Travelled with hand luggage only and in row1 :). Crew and food were good and the airport was a breeze with only hand baggage.
overall superb and no hard sale to grab a taxi. Overall pleasant experience and will use them again. |
