Anybody experience Dollar at Kennedy? How's their service?

Well since I didn't get a reply, I used dollar anyway, as I had one more upgrade cupon to use for the year. I thought I would warn all of you to avoid Dollar at JFK like the plague!

After arriving at the counter, I presented my cupon for upgrade. Before the agent pulled my record she told me there was no availabilty for upgrade. Hmmm, there are plenty of cars in the parking lot, it was 11pm at night, what's up? So I said, "you mean to tell me you have no full size cars available?" "No we do not!" was her reply.

I told her I didn't belive her as there were several Tauruses in the parking lot. But she said they weren't available. So I asked for the next car available. She said she couldn't do that. She was becomming very awful to deal with.

I asked to speak to the manager, because she was out of control. Interestingly the manager came over and told her to give me any car I wanted to which I replied I'd like a 300 or a Magnum. She offered a Grand Caravan to which I reminded her of her managers advice (Give him any car he wants) She got the keys to a Magnum and then stopped and walked back to his office.

Five minutes later she came back and said she wasn't giving me a Magnum, and that I'd have to have a Taurus instead. HMMMM... She didn't have one Taurus available 5 minutes ago... Liar.

Well after all is said and done, I got the car back to them. I paid $15 less than avis would have been, and I guarantee I will rent a Grand Am from Avis before giving one more cent to the morons at Dollar JFK! Unless you love pain, don't rent from Dollar at JFK.
