Mustang big enough for 3 people and 2 or 3 cases?
How much rear leg/trunk room is there on a Mustang? Would it be suitable for 3 people (two arent tall) and either 2 or 3 suitcases for an LA-Vegas trip?
Ive been quoted Ł421 from Dollar for two weeks inc fuel, cdw, tyre/windshield cover etc, would there be extra insurance on top of this to cover scratches etc cos I dont want the possibility of them coming back 3 months later with a charge for a stone chip or something.

The answer of a mustang depends on how much driving you plan to do. The front seats are totally fine, but the back seat is very tight. Definitely no the car you want to get if you will be cruising for hours on the highway or on a road trip. If your just cruising around the local area then yeah I think think its a great choice. I certainly wouldn't get it if youll be spending a ton of time in the car. Also the view from the backseat if your not in a convertible is very limited. A sedan might be better if you will be cruising a lot on the highway.
Coming from a foreign country I think you need to arrive with your insurance information to prove your insurance will cover the rental in the us. If not they will probably make you get their insurance.
In general they tend to be pretty good at dollar. If you have any charges they will be required to tell you when you return the car. Ask for a receipt when you return the car.
Definitely turn down their offers to pre pay for gas. Its cheap in Nevada and you just need to allow some extra time to fill up as you return the car.

Mustang = NO for 3 people and cases...
I know, have rented a few since 2011...
whose your quote with to get Ł421 ? possible to get it cheaper..
Us brits get full insurance, so if u bash the car and take it back, theres nothing to pay as its 0 excess (I got first hand experience of that with Dollar)..
plus, most cars from Dollar look battered anway!!!
The extra cover (windscreen, keys), personally, I have never bothered with that, that's more a preference...
