Question Dollar luxury LAS

Anyone seen any cross-fleeing between Hertz and Dollar for luxury class?

I have a luxury reservation and was curious what kind of 2013 30K+ mile hand me down can I expect?

Of if anyone is renting from Dollar in Vegas soon, please keep an eye out.

Thanks!

Thank you very much.

I am not expecting much. It's my back-up res and it's a heck of a rate for a luxury class, so we'll see.

My last PCAR from Dollar was a Dodge Charger base model. Hopefully you do a little better.

I had a Fullsize car...
blagged a LDAR in the garage with an upgrade voucher & $10...
Car I picked was:
Buick Lacrosse - 45k miles - few scratches here and there....
Nice and comfy to drive, leather seats, etc etc , XM radio and a big boot!
oh and it was pretty fast when putting your foot down, had some grunt to it!

We had PDAR (Premium), the desk staff told that they had only Crown Victorias and Grand Marquis. They offered upgrade to a grey V6 Challenger for 20$/day, they had also an orange RT Challenger but I didnīt ask if it was for the same price. We told that we will check in the lot if our party of 3 fit to the Challenger. We didnīt fit and went to the PDAR lot, where the following cars were available:

- 1 Crown victoria
- 1 Hyundai Genesis V6 (beautiful with leather seats, Sat radio etc)
- 1 Nissan Maxima V6 (basic with sunroof)
- A lot of Ford Taurus
- 1 Midsize SUV

We chose the Hyundai and the Maxima while we needed 2 cars.

I'd have been all over that Crown Vic, who knows how many more chances I'd get to drive one?

Yes. It didn't make a difference that I had gold rate so initial tank of gas, gps, additional drivers and LDW were included.

Edit: and one more thing, the queue to Dollar counter took us over 1 hour. The only other company that had some kind of a queue was Thrifty, all the others were empty.

Dollar luxury LAS

As a data point, many of the CDARs I have seen on the Hertz side had DTAG key tags. I don't generally reserve luxury on the dollar side so I can't offer feedback on that car class.
