Dollar @ PHX question

I am going to be in Phoenix in two weeks for a little anniversary getaway. Looking for rental cars I found a Premium for $38/day on hotwire. This is/was not a Hotwire Hot Rate but a fully cancel-able rate with Dollar. I figured it was perfect for a backup res while I keep low-balling convertibles on Priceline. On Hotwire it describes a Premium as a Nissan Maxima/Buick Lucerne or similar. On Dollar a Premium is described a a Ford Crown Victoria. So my question is, should I never get my ragtop on Priceline and thus use this res, what are the odds that I will actually have to drive a Crown Vic?

TIA

I would trust Dollar's site over Hotwire's description. Hotwire uses a generic car that fits the car class but is not specific to any single agency. Dollar's site is more representative about what you'll actually find there, although it's still not a guarantee.

Dollar is becoming more Ford-focused, but even still, I've never seen a Crown Vic at a Dollar location. I've heard that base-model Chrysler 300s are used as Premiums (the higher-tier ones are used as luxuries).

Thanks for the reply jackal. It gave me hope that I wouldn't get a Crown Vic when all my low balling came to naught. For posterity, the premium row at Dollar PHX on 3/4 contained about four Crown Vics and four Grand Marquis. I took a Grand Marquis, because A) it wasn't actually a Crown Vic and B) this could be the very last time I drive a Mercury anything. Didn't wind up driving much at all so it wasn't really a big deal.

I'm going to go ahead and bump this. I was at PHX last month and they offered me a free upgrade to Premium. All that were available were Ford Crown Victorias and Mercury Grand Marquises. I stuck with my Chevy Malibu

For the first time I was not upgraded at Dollar PHX. I arrived Friday night and the lot was full, but the manager in the Express booth stuck me in a compact. I realize I reserved a compact as I was only there a day, but I usually get bumped up a grade or two.

Oh, I've even been upgraded into a Crown Vic.
