Terrible Dollar NYC Experience

I had reserved a car online at Dollar's West 52nd St location in NYC for Sunday morning at 8:15. When I went to pick up the car, the agent told me that they had no cars for at least two hours and that this apparently happens all the time on weekends at that location. Needless to say, I was pretty upset but there was no alternative but to wait since it was a holiday weekend and all the competitors were sold out. When I returned two hours later, the office was mayhem as there still weren't any cars and a lot more unhappy customers. Even people that had prepaid were still getting their cars late.

My Dollar experience was pretty bad on the whole and calling the 800 number didn't help as I kept getting hung up on. I finally got the car at 10:30, but it badly screwed up my plans for the day. Be careful renting from this location, as your reserved pickup time may not be honored.
