Has anyone here used assertiveness? "I'd really like to reward you with a tip, but I'm pretty poor myself and am expected to pay tips to the many who are providing a legally required service and because you're not paid enough. I'm sorry I can't afford to tip, but I'm grateful for your service."

oh c mon now, cant afford all those tips? anyone who can afford to take a flight,especially on a constant basis, can afford little 2 or 3 dollar tips, and if you saw someone esle got you the ticket, that means u didnt pay anything, meaning u have plenty for those "little tips"

Thanks for this thread. We got $5 notes for tipping for domestic flights in usa. I can imagine the need to tip more for the international experience. It is a shame that the salary is super low.
