Decent article on Rioja's in the NY Times today
|
excellent article. i am quite famaliar with murrieta wines, but have never come in contact with the López de Heredia wines. seems the importer has a distributor in the area, but he does not carry the wines.
the white as described is one of my favorites. i bought 22 cases of the 1985 murrieta white in about 90-92. it is still spectacular. i am into my last case. murrieta no longer makes that style of white. seems lopez does. they use viura grape , and age it in oak for a couple three years. just accidentaled across this article on same wines: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/07/13/dining/13wine.html |
