CBS Sunday Morning has a story on Hot Doug's encased meat emporium in Chicago this a.m. I know it's on at different times all over the country, so check your local listings. :)

Hot Doug's is good, but I don't care for the duck fat fries, not a healthy or in my opinion tasty trend to start. I like Superdawg up on the Northwest side of Chicagohttp://www.superdawg.combetter. Indeed, Superdawg shows up in most top things to do in Chicago lists. With old school car hops, fresh cut fries, hand poured shakes and the best dogs in town, its hard not to enjoy, which is why they are always busy with locals and visitors alike, even in the dead of winter.

did someone say duck fat fries? MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

exactly, for a specialty dog or sausage, Hot Dougs is great, for a regular Chicago style dog, go elsewhere.

the_happiness_store and I stopped in for dogs & DF fries back in February. Neither of us had been there before, so we enjoyed the atmosphere as well as food. (or maybe we were just so grateful to be out of the frigid cold)

I'll have to give SuperDawg a try next time.
