Didn’t make it. Turned around 30 miles from home and headed to Pensacola. Spent too long sitting in a line of traffic that probably stretched 40+ miles and was moving at 1.5 mph.
I’ll work from the plant here in the morning, find my mother in the afternoon and meet my sister and niece for dinner. They flew down from New England to look for my mother.
After 9 hours and 400 miles we are spent. Got one of the last rooms in town and met another couple from Panama City in the bar. They were telling dark tales. We will try to arrive home on Wednesday at the crack of dawn.
A pint of amber ale from Pensacola Bay Brewing Co.

Coffee, my brew at home. I need to grab the bag because it's beans from a Coffee and a Book subscription I have and the coffee is really good.

The Veil's Hornswaggler Salted Caramel Oreo Stout. OMG, it's the first "salted" anything beer I've had that actually tastes salted, and not salty. Super-smooth texture, but the flavor is like there are big, coarse-grained salt granules and flakes of caramel in it. Veil always has awesome beers, but this is among the top I've had from them.
