quality of service has no connection to price point
Today we had lunch at The Old Spaghetti Factory (San Jose, CA) and once again it was proven that there is no connection between the quality of service and the price of the food.
If you don't know OSF, it is a mid range pasta chain - but it also has special menu for those who can not eat gluten, which is why we were there. Our server knew the details of that menu inside and out, timed the delivery of our 3 courses perfectly and kept the drinks filled. He was friendly and helpful without being annoying or pushy. He treated my kid and the kid's stuffed rabbit with courtesy and respect, even boxing up the rabbit's left-over salad for her. ;) In short, the experience left me wondering why more "better" restaurants don't have staff that good.
